Teaching Evaluations by Students
Younghyun did an excellent job of facilitating discussion and allowing everyone to voice their opinions. She never gave away the answers but helped guide us to find them ourselves. She made discussion very fun and it was the part of the class that I enjoyed the most.
Younghyun works really hard to create participation throughout the course. I think she did a great job calling on different people across the semester, and she really facilitated discussions well. Whenever a student has difficulty understanding the material, she provided other analogies or examples that work to clarify learning, which really help me throughout the semester especially with important assignments.Â
A major strength overall of the instructor was how the instructor was able to get the students to work with each other. The instructor was so encouraging to get students to talk to each other and able to explain to each other about what they learn about lecture. Another strength about the instructor was how the instructor will help students if they were stuck at a topic. The instructor will take her time to make that student is not struggling anymore.
I had Younghyun last semester as a TA in a previous political science course, and I always appreciated her kindness as well as willingness to help other students learn. As for the general parts of discussion, Younghyun has done a pretty good job of helping everyone in the class have the opportunity to speak and discuss.
